Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on some of the most majestic rivers in the world, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the demands of keeping top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The Rogue Hoody is part of Simms' portfolio, crafted from DWR-treated softshell materials, which means waterproofing is one of its strengths. Additionally, the interior is made of soft fleece to ensure thermal comfort on cool mornings. Simms designed this piece with three pockets: one zippered chest pocket and two designed for warming hands. Other notable features include elastic cuffs, water-resistant YKK zippers, and an adjustable waterproof hood.
