Simms was founded in 1980 by a visionary angler and longtime guide, John Simms. After spending decades delivering life-changing experiences to clients on the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time did not meet the needs of keeping the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The Guide Insulated Jacket is a lightweight, waterproof jacket designed to provide comfort in adverse weather. Built with a Gore-Tex membrane, it helps anglers carry on without interruption, even during harsh conditions. The GORE-TEX membrane keeps the jacket lightweight while offering total waterproof protection against downpours. Fleece-lined pockets keep hands warm, maintaining comfort during outdoor activities.

Fabric Technologies:

• Chest, lower body, hem, and elbows - two-layer GORE-TEX with Gore Performance Technology - 90D 100% nylon with DWR;
• Hood, shoulders, back, and front body - GORE-TEX with Gore Performance Technology - 80D 100% nylon with DWR;
• Insulation - PrimaLoft Silver High Loft 80g in body / 60g in hood and sleeves;
• Lining - 47g/m2, 100% recycled polyester taffeta with DWR.
