Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing customers life-changing experiences on some of the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the demands of keeping top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get out earlier and stay out longer, no matter the weather.

Waypoints Jacket is part of Simms’ lineup, featuring the main fabric GORE-TEX PACLITE® PLUS, offering an incredible waterproof-to-weight ratio and freedom of movement. Simms designed this piece with three pockets—one on the chest and two zippered hand-warmer pockets. Other notable features include elastic cuffs, water-resistant YKK zippers, and an adjustable hood.
