Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on the most majestic rivers in the world, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs of keeping top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get out on the water earlier and stay out longer, no matter the weather.

The Fastcast Windshell is part of Simms’ product lineup, a lightweight jacket made from nylon. As a Windshell jacket, Simms designed this piece to protect against wind, featuring two hand warmer pockets. Other noteworthy features include elastic cuffs and a waterproof hood.
