The Simms BugStopper SunGaiter is a bandana specially designed to offer insect protection on hot days. The bandana is made with the latest Insect Shield® UPF 50 SolarFlex fabric technology, providing lightweight comfort, breathability, and protection for your face against sunburn and insect bites. Additionally, the special fabric stretches in multiple directions. It has no irritating seams and offers excellent moisture and breathability control.

The SolarFlex® fabric provides UPF 50 protection and covers from the tip of the nose down to the shirt collar, with enough height at the back to fit over or under your favorite fishing hat. UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much UV radiation from the sun is blocked. A fabric with a rating of 50 allows only 1/50th of the sun's UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric significantly reduces skin exposure to UV radiation. All UPF finishes from Simms last for the lifetime of the garment.
