The Twin Power XD is a redesigned model, being the most powerful reel in the Magnumlite series. Designed for saltwater fishing, it is equally effective for targeting large freshwater predators, thanks to its sensitivity and super-fast gearing. The new ultra-light MGL rotor with quick response ensures precise lure control, while Hagane Gear technology provides amazing strength and durability and contributes to the smooth and precise operation of the internal gears. Micromodule II technology delivers extremely smooth and sensitive rotation, minimizing noise during use. Silent Drive reduces even the smallest play, and internal part oscillations have been eliminated to the highest tolerance level.

Combining these technologies with the X-Protect system that offers high resistance to saltwater on the internal gears, plus the new Long Stroke Spool design, you get a powerful, lightweight, and durable reel for the toughest saltwater fishing conditions. The ARC Spool also ensures the fishing line comes off in smaller loops while providing longer and more accurate casts, minimizing friction between the line and spool.

The X-SHIP system improves pinion gear durability while eliminating rotor twisting and flexing. Supported on both ends by bearings, the pinion maintains precise alignment with the drive gear. This means the gears stay in the same position under the heaviest loads. An additional advantage is that friction between the spool and gears is eliminated. This further enhances casting performance with lighter lures or weights. G Free Body is an innovative technology that shifts the center of gravity closer to the rod, reducing hand fatigue during fishing.

It features a Ci4+ body, an advanced version of Shimano’s original patented CI4 material. This highly durable carbon material offers 2.5 times more rigidity than CI4. While improving weight and stiffness, the body remains compact. S-ARB bearings have shields on both sides to reduce the chance of sand or saltwater hindering rotation. Cross Carbon Drag delivers a wider range of brake settings combined with Shimano’s smoothest drag performance.
