The Shimano Talica II multiplying reel is developed for saltwater big-game fishing, designed for stand-up techniques and use with braided lines. Its compact construction, two-speed mechanism and lever drag system deliver high control, strong retrieval power and reliable performance in the toughest fights.

The model features a two-speed retrieve gear, allowing quick switching between high speed, used for fast lure or line retrieval, and low speed, which provides high torque for controlling powerful fish. The InfinityDrive system reduces the effort required to turn the handle by approximately 30%, making retrieves easier even when the reel is heavily loaded.

For use with different line types, the Talica II is supplied with an additional cam to adjust the drag characteristics when using monofilament. The lever drag system allows quick, precise adjustments, and the carbon fiber drag discs provide strong braking power and high wear resistance.

The S-Compact body reduces the reel's size and weight without compromising mechanical performance. X-Protect prevents saltwater ingress into the mechanism, increasing durability in the marine environment. The package is completed by 7 shielded A-RB bearings, brass gears and an aluminum spool for smooth, reliable operation.
