The Shimano Plays 3000A is an electric reel designed for boat fishing at sea, especially for deep-water techniques where quickly retrieving rigs and controlling fish are essential. Its compact construction and balanced weight make it easy to handle, much like a conventional reel, while the electric retrieve system reduces the effort required during fishing. The model is equipped with Shimano’s Muteki motor, developed to deliver high retrieve speed and pulling power, making it suitable for sea fishing with heavy rigs and for battling powerful fish.

The Muteki motor uses a powerful neodymium magnet and delivers a maximum retrieve speed of 150m/min, with a practical lifting power of 6.50kg. The Fire Mach system optimises the spool’s free rotation, allowing rigs and lures to descend quickly to the desired depth. The reel features Shimano S A-RB bearings with side shields that help limit the ingress of salt and impurities, contributing to smooth operation in the marine environment.

The Cross Carbon Drag system, with carbon fibre drag washers, provides smooth line release and a maximum drag power of 15kg, offering control during demanding fights. The Fine Dot LCD screen clearly displays operating information, even in bright sunlight. The generous spool capacity allows the use of PE braided lines in various sizes, while the 75mm handle allows for manual retrieval when needed.
