Shimano Kairiki G5 is a sinking braided line made from Japanese PE IZANAS® fibers, a high-strength polyethylene. IZANAS® fiber is approximately 8 times stronger than piano wire and has moderate stretch, offering an ideal combination of strength, sensitivity and control. The Kairiki G5 structure includes 4 braided PE strands together with an additional super-dense core that provides sinking properties and stability in wind or current.

The line cuts through the surface film quickly, maintaining direct contact with the lure and eliminating unwanted loops. It is ideal for deep-lure fishing and jigging, providing superior control and accuracy at long range. It can also be used for carp and feeder fishing.

VT Construction Method technology combines the four PE strands with the heavy sinking fiber under constant, multi-angle tension, compressing each strand to form a round, compact profile. The result is a dense braid with reduced diameter, increased sensitivity and a smooth surface, which enhances the overall performance of the Shimano Kairiki G5 braided line.
