The Shimano Antares B represents the new generation of the top Antares line, a range with over two decades of history in Shimano's portfolio. Built on a lightweight, rigid magnesium body, the reel integrates advanced drivetrain, drag and casting control technologies, making it one of the most versatile baitcasting reels in the manufacturer's lineup.

Outstanding casting performance is supported by the Super Free Spool system, which reduces shaft friction during casts, and the Magnumlite Spool (MGL IV) made of Ultra Duraluminium, featuring an S3D design and Silent Tune technology to reduce vibrations. The SVS Infinity braking system allows fine adjustments to suit any lure, from ultra-light baits to crankbaits or swimbaits.

The Antares B excels in finesse fishing, allowing precise casts of light baits such as fine jigs, soft plastics, Ned rigs or BFS techniques. At the same time, the robust gear train lets you use bulkier lures without losing control. The Cross Carbon drag ensures smooth operation and precise control during the fight, providing confidence even in tough situations.

The Hagane body houses Micromodule gears and the X-SHIP system, which contribute to high smoothness and efficiency on the retrieve. S A-RB bearings, treated for corrosion resistance and protected against fine particles, ensure stable rotation and increased durability over time, even in demanding conditions.
