The Shimano Antares B represents the new generation of the top Antares series, a range with over two decades of history in Shimano’s portfolio. Built on a lightweight, rigid magnesium body, the reel integrates advanced gearing, braking and casting control technologies, making it one of the most versatile baitcasting reels in the manufacturer’s lineup.

Outstanding casting performance is supported by the Super Free Spool system, which reduces axle friction during the cast, and the Magnumlite Spool (MGL IV) made from Ultra Duraluminium, featuring an S3D design and Silent Tune technology to reduce vibrations. The SVS Infinity braking system allows fine adjustments to suit any lure, from ultra-light baits to crankbaits or swimbaits.

The Antares B excels in finesse fishing, allowing precise casts of light lures such as finesse jigs, soft plastics, Ned rigs or BFS techniques. At the same time, the robust gear train allows the use of bulkier lures without loss of control. The Cross Carbon drag provides smooth operation and precise control during the fight, offering security even in demanding situations.

The Hagane body houses Micromodule gears and the X-SHIP system, contributing to high smoothness and efficiency on the retrieve. S A-RB bearings, corrosion-treated and protected against fine particles, ensure stable rotation and increased durability over time, even in harsh conditions. The combination of these technologies delivers a premium experience with precision and stability on every use.
