The Salmo Slider was introduced many years ago, becoming legendary among predator anglers. It's no surprise that this lure has broken numerous personal records for anglers (both beginners and competitors). The launch of the Slider lure represented a new superior quality in the world of artificial baits. Retrieving this lure is very easy; any retrieval technique works, and the lure’s movement will mimic that of an injured prey fish. The colder the water, the longer each pause between movements should be (up to 3 seconds).

It is recommended for fishing pike, zander, bass, and catfish. Usually, the Slider is fished with a regular series of sudden, aggressive rod jerks while maintaining a fast retrieve. Before using this lure, it's advisable to cast it a few times into clear water to observe its action and improve your lure-handling technique. The Slider is effective for trolling, leaving it behind the boat between 10m and 30m, twitching it as if casting every few seconds.

NOTE: Floating versions are highly recommended in warm seasons when vegetation is dense and the water column is very limited, while sinking models are recommended in areas with less vegetation or in deep water.
