The EINSTEIN™ 1500 FLEX LED Head Torch is a rechargeable headlamp with 5 lighting modes, named after the famous physicist Albert Einstein, manufactured by Nebo in Grand Prairie, Texas, USA. This torch uses Power Flex technology that allows it to be powered by a custom rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery (included) or two CR123A lithium-metal batteries as a backup if you run out of power and cannot recharge the torch, or if you need to continue using the torch while the main battery is charging. The batteries are positioned at the back of the headband in a separate battery holder to evenly distribute weight. The 18650 lithium-ion battery features a built-in USB-C port on the top, so it can be charged outside the torch using the included USB-C to USB-A cable via a USB power source. While charging, an LED indicator glows red and turns green once fully charged.

This torch features a high-power Arcus COB LED that emits a 1500 lumen beam in turbo output, designed as a boost setting, allowing only 30-second bursts at a time to prevent the torch from overheating and to protect the LED. The high setting provides a steady 750 lumens with a 2-hour runtime, and medium, low, and red light settings are also available. The red light is useful for night reading, wildlife observation, and preserving night vision, while the flashing red light is great for attracting attention, making it handy for use in the car or camping trips. A separate red LED is placed in the middle of the white LEDs and can be accessed directly to avoid disturbing important night vision.

Operation is simple with a single easy-to-press button on the top of the torch. Each press cycles Einstein 1500 Flex through high, medium, low, red light, and off modes. If the torch stays in any mode for more than 8 seconds, the next press will turn the light off instead of cycling through all the modes. Turbo mode is activated by holding down the power button when the light is on and lasts 30 seconds before returning to the previous setting, or can be turned off sooner by pressing the button again. Direct access to the red light is achieved by holding the button when the light is off; then, if desired, each press within 8 seconds will cycle modes in reverse order. The articulated mount allows the torch to tilt 60° to aim the beam where needed, and an additional top strap on the headband adds extra security.

NOTE: Runtime durations are based on the included rechargeable battery. Runtime is reduced by approximately 20% when using 2 CR123A batteries.
