The Opinel Nr.08 Black Oak Edition Pocket Knife is a modern take on the classic folding pocket knife, specially designed for outdoor activities such as camping or picnics. This knife is fully hand-assembled at the Opinel factory in Chambéry, France. It measures 19cm in total length and weighs only 45g. The blade is made of stainless steel and modified Sandvik 12C27, coated with a matte black layer, offering high corrosion resistance due to the addition of chromium, and has undergone a special heat treatment resulting in a hardness of 58-59HRC.

The ergonomic handle is made from oak wood, resistant to moisture and extreme temperatures (between -40 and +80 degrees C), slightly flared at the end for a comfortable grip that prevents slipping during use. This handle is constructed from strips of Finnish birch that have been dyed to create a truly unique aesthetic. It is equipped with a Virobloc locking system - which locks the blade in either the open or closed position, making it easy and safe to store and carry. A matte black coating has also been applied over the Virobloc locking ring. This black finish further enhances corrosion resistance compared to classic models, making this knife the most corrosion-resistant pocket knife on the market. It comes packaged in an oak gift box with a plexiglass lid.
