Opinel Nr.07 My First Opinel is a folding pocket knife specially designed for children, perfect for teaching kids how to whittle, cut, or carve wood, but can also be used for food preparation. The blade is made from stainless steel and modified Sandvik 12C27 with high corrosion resistance due to added chromium, and it has undergone a special heat treatment resulting in a hardness of 57-58HRC. The ergonomic handle is made from beech wood, slightly widened at the end, making it comfortable to hold and preventing slipping during use. It is equipped with a Virobloc locking system - this locks the blade in both open and closed positions, making it easy and safe to store and carry. This knife comes with a sheath that can be attached to a belt, made from recycled leather scraps and recycled plastic bottles.
