Okuma is currently one of the most important manufacturers of high-performance reels, with a tradition and innovation capacity that have earned it worldwide fame. The Tomcat reel is specially designed for saltwater fishing, but due to its considerable drag power and high-quality materials, it is also suitable for freshwater fishing for large fish such as catfish. The reel is built around a robust graphite body, corrosion resistant, with internal mechanisms driven by 6 (5+1) sealed bearings that ensure smoothness without tiring the arm after repeated casts.

The deep CNC-machined spool, made from a single piece of anodized aluminum, is equipped with a round metal clip for line attachment. The "Even Flow Roller System" technology reduces line twist by allowing the roller to spin freely without friction, thus preventing line breakage. The Quick-Set Anti-Reverse unidirectional bearing, the computer-balanced rotor system (Rotor Equalizing System), and the Cyclonic Flow Rotor design increase airflow through the rotor, minimizing water intrusion and thus corrosion of internal parts. The Rotor Equalizing System provides a precision balance that eliminates all reel vibrations for perfect alignment and smooth operation.

The Precision Elliptical Gearing System creates less friction during long-distance casting, greater precision, longer gear lifespan, and more uniform pull pressure. The multi-disc front drag (oil-impregnated felt washers + metal discs) operates with high precision, while the baitrunner drag adjustment system is located on the rear of the body, with the baitrunner switch above it. The metal handle is equipped with an extremely comfortable TPE knob button.
