The Nash Scope GTL 8000 is a carp reel designed for long casting and sessions that require a high line capacity. The model combines the robust construction typical of the Scope range with an elongated, conical Long Cast spool, making it suitable for both traditional 12-13ft rods and the compact Scope and Dwarf 9-10ft models.

The spool is engineered for efficient line release during casts, while the slow oscillation system ensures even line lay. This configuration reduces friction as the line leaves the spool and helps achieve greater casting distances. The generous line capacity also makes the reel suitable for baited rigs when setups are placed well off the bank.

The Fast Drag braking system allows you to go from a slack drag to the required stopping power during the fight in roughly half a turn of the adjustment knob. The drag is sealed against water ingress, uses carbon drag discs and delivers a maximum stopping power of 20kg, providing the control needed when battling larger fish.

The mechanical build is adapted to standards used for saltwater reels. The main shaft and gear components are stainless steel, and the system of 12 stainless steel bearings plus one roller bearing contributes to smooth, consistent performance.

The Dual Propulsion line roller helps reduce line twist during retrieval. For baited fishing, the reel is fitted with rubber protection bands designed to prevent line tangles around the rotor when rigs are transported by boat.

The folding handle features a One Touch quick-action mechanism for compactness during transport. Interchangeable handles in black and wood options allow you to tailor the grip to your preference, while the Honeycomb spool design helps reduce weight. The line clip is designed to secure the line with a reduced risk of damage.

With a gear ratio of 4.3:1 and a weight of 660g, the Nash Scope GTL 8000 combines high line capacity with a powerful drag system and components suited to long-range fishing.
