The Mercury Pro XS 150 HP is a 4-stroke outboard developed for mid-sized boats where acceleration, speed and quick response are priorities. The engine features an inline 4-cylinder configuration and a generous 3.00L displacement, delivering 150HP (112kW). The Pro XS range is designed for use in both freshwater and saltwater, making it suitable for performance fishing boats as well.

Mercury Transient Spark technology optimizes ignition timing and fuel delivery during acceleration, helping increase available torque at takeoff and achieve a fast hole shot. The 2.08:1 gear ratio efficiently transfers torque to the propeller, while the high-performance gearcase features additional front-facing water inlets, allowing the engine to be mounted higher or used with a jack plate without compromising cooling.

The Multi-Port EFI fuel system ensures precise fuel delivery, while the 60A alternator provides ample capacity to power onboard electronics. The Idle Charge system can automatically increase RPM at idle when battery voltage drops, boosting charging capacity. The engine cover’s construction and sound insulation help reduce vibration and noise during operation.
