The Mercury Pro XS 150HP XL is a 4-stroke outboard designed for boats that need powerful acceleration, quick throttle response and high-speed performance. The engine features an inline 4-cylinder configuration and a displacement of 3.00L, delivering 150HP (112kW), with a wide-open throttle range of 5200-6000rpm. The XL version is designed for boats with a high transom and has a 618mm distance between the transom and the anti-ventilation plate.

Mercury Transient Spark technology temporarily optimizes ignition timing and fuel delivery during acceleration, improving available torque and engine response. Mercury indicates an additional torque increase of approximately 3-5% between 3500 and 4500rpm. The performance gearcase, with front water inlets and a 2.08:1 gear ratio, is designed for quick acceleration and strong high-speed performance.

The Multi-Port Electronic Fuel Injection system ensures precise fuel delivery, while the SmartCraft ECM Digital Inductive system with Engine Guardian monitors key engine parameters. The 60A alternator provides charging capacity for onboard electronics and accessories, while the control systems and sound insulation are designed for smooth operation with reduced noise and vibration.
