The Salmo Slider was introduced many years ago, becoming legendary among predator anglers. It's no surprise that this lure has broken many personal records for fishermen (both beginners and competitors). The launch of the Slider lures marked a new superior quality in the artificial bait world. Retrieving this lure is very easy; any retrieval technique is effective, with the lure's movement resembling that of an injured prey fish. The colder the water, the longer each pause after a move should be (even up to 3 seconds).

It is recommended for pike, zander, perch, and catfish fishing. Usually, the Slider is worked with a series of sharp, aggressive rod jerks, while the retrieval should be fast. Before using this lure, it’s advisable to cast it several times in clear water to observe its action (for improving your technique). The Slider is effective for trolling, left behind the boat at distances between 10m and 30m, twitching it as you would when casting, every few seconds.

NOTE: Floating versions are highly recommended during the warm season when vegetation is abundant and the water column available is very shallow, while sinking models are advisable in areas with less vegetation or in deep water zones.
