The Salmo Slider was introduced many years ago and has become legendary among predator anglers. It's no surprise that this lure has broken numerous personal records for anglers (both beginners and competitors). The release of the Slider lures marked a new superior quality in the world of artificial baits. Retrieving this lure is very easy; any retrieval technique is effective, and the lure's movement mimics that of a wounded baitfish. The colder the water, the longer each movement pause should be (even up to 3 seconds).

It is recommended for fishing pike, zander, perch, and catfish. Usually, the Slider is worked with a series of sharp and aggressive rod twitches, while retrieval should be fast. Before using this lure, it's advised to cast it a few times in clear water to observe its action and improve your technique. The Slider is also effective for trolling, left behind the boat between 10m and 30m, twitching it as if casting every few seconds.

NOTE: Floating versions are highly recommended in warm seasons when vegetation is abundant and the water column available is very shallow, while sinking models are better suited for areas with less vegetation or deeper water.
