Kamakura Basix Wide Gape is the newest hook model from the renowned manufacturer Korda. Basix is an eye hook, designed as a perfect model for all types of fishing, suitable for a wide range of rigs without the need to add extra terminal tackle, whether you’re fishing with boilies, pop-ups, or wafters.

The aggressively angled eye at the front helps the hook turn and catch in the fish’s lip without the need to add additional kickers or shrink tubing. The hooks are made from “X” gauge hardened wire (much thicker than standard wire), making them suitable for use both in the UK and across European waters due to their superior strength.

The hook shape is based on the original, incredibly effective Wide Gape design, which has been responsible for catching many carp over the years. The ultra-sharp point is built to last, allowing you to catch several fish on the same hook before needing to replace it (always check that the point remains sharp each time you unhook a fish).
