After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs to keep top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer, no matter the weather.

The Simms Heavyweight Hoody is designed to be worn directly on the skin or as a mid and outer layer, providing warmth, maximum moisture-wicking, and face protection. The smooth front blends with a wool back that adds stretch, plus micro pockets to trap heat and wick away moisture. The three-panel hood closes with an asymmetrical zipper, allowing protection for the nose, mouth, and face. The sleeves are built with extra length and thumbholes to keep your arms covered at all times. Flatlock seam construction ensures comfort when worn directly against the skin.
