The Guru Speed Bander is designed for mounting baits in Bait Bands, which are used in feeder, method feeder, match and pole fishing. Developed in collaboration with match angler Andy Bennett, it allows you to quickly attach baits to the hair rig without piercing them. It is especially useful for small or delicate baits such as maggots, casters and small pellets.

The tool’s tip has a specially designed profile to hold and stretch the elastic band, as well as a hole for positioning the bait. Slide the elastic band onto the tip and move it into the holding area, then place the bait in the dedicated hole. Slide the band over the bait to grip and secure it, ready for attachment to rigs featuring a hair and Bait Band.

The working end is designed to position the elastic band in the centre of the bait, helping to keep it balanced. The system reduces direct pressure on soft baits and minimises the risk of crushing or damaging them during mounting. The tool can be used with baits such as maggots, casters and pellets around 4mm, in combination with suitably sized elastic bands.

The Guru Speed Bander is made from durable plastic and has a compact, elongated design that is easy to handle when preparing rigs. There is a hole at the end opposite the working tip for attaching a lanyard or storing the tool on a holder. Its orange colour makes it easy to spot among your fishing accessories.

The tool is designed for repeatedly mounting baits in elastic bands, including when they need to be changed frequently during a fishing session. The pack contains two orange plastic Guru Speed Bander tools.
