Guru SMWG Bayonet Rigs are ready-tied hooklengths designed for method feeder and hybrid feeder fishing, particularly on commercial fisheries. Each rig features a Guru SMWG hook and a hair rig fitted with a Bayonet bait attachment, allowing you to quickly attach hookbaits such as wafters, boilies and pop-ups.

Guru SMWG (Super MWG) hooks have a strong construction, a wide gape and a sharp point, making them suitable for targeting carp, bream and other coarse fish. The PTFE coating provides a matt, low-glare finish and helps protect the hook’s surface. The barbless design is suited to commercial fisheries.

The Guru Bayonet is attached to the end of the hair and secures the bait by inserting its metal point directly into it. This setup eliminates the need for a conventional bait stop and makes it easy to change hookbaits quickly. The loop at the end of the Bayonet allows semi-buoyant baits such as wafters to be presented effectively, helping them sit in a balanced position above the lakebed.

A 0.3mm section of silicone micro tubing is positioned on the hook shank to guide the hair and keep the bait aligned with the hook. This design helps ensure consistent bait presentation and reliable rig performance while fishing.

The hooks are tied with Guru N-Gauge monofilament, chosen for its strength and reliability in coarse fishing. The 4-inch (10.16cm) length is suited to method feeder and hybrid feeder fishing, allowing the bait to sit close to the feeder. The rigs feature a connecting loop and are secured on rigid rig boards to retain their shape and stay neatly organised.
