The Westin Freddy the Frog is a articulated surface lure (topwater) made from hard plastic (ABS), designed for fishing in the water's surface film, particularly for pike. The lure can be fished simply, like a frog crossing a lake "walked-side-to-side," or aggressively with a "jerking" technique in short bursts of 1-2 seconds for maximum performance at any retrieval speed.

Thanks to the glossy finish of the eyes and the hand-painted colors, the frog is easily visible to predators, even in the lowest light conditions. It has a fully articulated body equipped with a hook on the back and a treble hook positioned on the belly made from Japanese carbon steel, designed to reduce the chances of fish escaping during the fight. Additionally, Freddy the Frog comes equipped with a short polycarbonate chin designed to create turbulence during retrieves.

At the front of the frog, it features an internal chamber with "rattling" glass beads that disperse strong vibrations in the water to attract even the most lethargic predators.

TIP: The frog should not be cast with too much force; contact with the water acts as a trigger for an attack right as it lands. When a fish strikes the frog, the hook set should not be firm; rather, it is recommended to wait 1-2 seconds and loosen the tension for a proper hook set.
