Delphin TEX1 is a premium electronic bite alarm, designed entirely by Delphin’s development and design team for modern carp fishing. Developed through an extensive process of design, testing and optimisation, TEX1 stands out with its original design, reliable electronics and numerous advanced adjustment and signalling features. The components are housed in a robust ABS plastic casing that resists water, adverse weather conditions and mechanical stress. Its solid construction and extensive customisation options make it suitable for a variety of fishing conditions, ensuring effective bite detection and indication.

The bite alarm features three independent rotary dials for adjusting the volume across 6 levels, including silent mode, selecting from 5 tones and setting the sensitivity to one of 5 levels. These options make it easy to tailor performance to the fishing conditions and your personal preferences. One of the key advantages of the TEX1 is the ability to select one of 7 LED colours using a simple press of the side button, allowing you to customise the visual indication and identify your rod more easily.

A dedicated switch lets you select day or night mode, or turn the device off. In night mode, the night light LED stays on continuously and automatically matches the selected bite indication colour, making it easier to locate your rod in low-light conditions. The memory function retains your settings even after the bite alarm is switched off, so there’s no need to adjust them every time you turn it on.

The signalling system uses distinct tones to differentiate between standard runs and drop-back bites, which occur when a fish moves towards the bank and the line goes slack. This makes it easy to identify the type of bite and provides additional information about the fish’s movement. The memory LED stays lit for 20 seconds after a bite is detected, helping you identify which rod has registered activity.

In terms of construction, the TEX1 features rubber-coated rod rests that protect the rod blank from scratches and reduce the risk of slipping. The included Snag Ears fit directly into the threaded holes in the casing and prevent the rod from moving sideways during powerful runs. The mounting thread has a locking nut to secure the bite alarm in the desired position. A 2.5mm socket for connecting a compatible illuminated hanger or swinger adds the option of a further visual bite indication system.

The Delphin TEX1 is powered by 3 AAA batteries and features energy-efficient electronics, helping provide long battery life during extended fishing sessions. An audible low-battery warning lets you know when the batteries need replacing. The TEX1’s original design and distinctive construction features were developed entirely by the Delphin team and are protected by registration in the European Union.
