The Shimano Talica II multiplier reel is developed for saltwater fishing for large fish, designed for stand-up techniques and use with braided lines. Its compact construction, two-speed mechanism and lever drag system provide high control, strong retrieval power and reliability in the most demanding fights.

The model features a two-speed retrieve transmission, allowing quick switching between high gear, used for fast retrieval of the rig or line, and low gear, which delivers high torque for controlling powerful fish. The InfinityDrive system reduces crank effort by approximately 30%, contributing to easier retrieval even when the reel is heavily loaded.

For use with different types of line, the Talica II is supplied with an additional cam to adjust drag characteristics when using monofilament line. The lever drag system allows quick and precise adjustments, and the carbon drag discs provide high braking power and strong wear resistance.

The S-Compact body reduces the reel’s size and weight without compromising mechanism performance. X-Protect prevents saltwater intrusion into the mechanism, enhancing durability in the marine environment. The assembly is completed by 7 shielded A-RB bearings, brass gears and an aluminium spool for smooth and reliable operation.
