The LongChuck Tapered Mainline is a conical diameter monofilament line that sinks quickly through the water column, highly abrasion-resistant, turning the fishing line into a "shock-leader" at each end. Since there are no leader knots involved, the risk of tangling is greatly reduced, the line doesn’t snag on bottom vegetation, and the lead clip system won’t jam. If the line breaks or needs to be cut, it can be transferred to another spool to have a second thick leader section at the end.

This line was designed for extreme distance casting as well as to absorb the shock of casting when using very heavy leads or spod rockets, with the thicker diameter acting as a "snag leader." Both ends of the line are thicker, with an 8-meter "leader" section, then the line tapers down to the main diameter (0.27mm, 0.30mm, 0.33mm) over 2 meters. It is available in 3 diameter options: 0.27mm-0.47mm (12lbs-30lbs), 0.30mm-0.47mm (12lbs-30lbs), and 0.33mm-0.47mm (15lbs-30lbs).
