The Jaxon Smart 08A is an electronic clip on bite alarm, made from durable ABS plastic ensuring high product longevity. The alarm attaches directly to the rod blank using an adjustable rubber strap with a good grip. The fishing line passes through the rollers of the alarm mechanism, detecting even the slightest fish bites. It operates on 3 x 1.5V LR44 batteries.

The alarm is turned on by pressing the "V" button for a few seconds. Short presses of the "V" button adjust the tone volume (including silent mode). Press the "T" button to change the alert tone. When a bite occurs, the alarm mechanism rotates, signaling both acoustically and visually. After a catch, one of the LEDs stays lit for up to 20 seconds. To turn off, hold down the "V" button.
