Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing customers with life-changing experiences on the most majestic rivers in the world, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the standards needed to keep the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The Challenger Shorts are made with breathable ventilated panels and quick-drying stretch fabric for all-day comfort and performance. These are athletic-fit shorts designed specifically for fishing, with a cotton, polyester, and spandex blend for durability and enhanced comfort. The material is soft, stretchy, and stain-resistant thanks to a DWR hydrophobic treatment applied to the exterior. They feature two front hand pockets and two back pockets, a zippered pocket on the right thigh, and a back pocket on the left thigh for pliers or phone.
