Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After decades of providing clients with life-changing experiences on the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the demands of keeping the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

Challenger Shorts are made with breathable vented panels and quick-drying stretch fabric for all-day comfort and performance. These athletic-fit shorts are specifically designed for fishing, featuring a cotton, polyester, and spandex blend for durability and enhanced comfort. The fabric is soft, stretchy, and stain-resistant thanks to a DWR water-repellent treatment applied to the exterior. They feature two front hand pockets, two back pockets, a zippered pocket on the right thigh, and a back pocket on the left thigh for pliers or phone.
