The bite alarms feature buttons to adjust volume (the "V" button), tone (the "T" button), and sensitivity (the "S" button). Both volume and tone have 6 independent setting levels. Pressing the volume level 6 activates the vibration function. Thanks to the universal thread, the alarms can be attached to any type of rodpod, tripod, buzz bar, or bankstick.

The casing of both the alarms and the receiver is made of shock-resistant rubberized plastic and offers protection against water ingress. The alarms operate on a 9V battery, which can provide long-lasting operation (up to 100 hours). The receiver also runs on a 9V battery. After the fishing session, it is recommended to remove the batteries and transport them separately.

The alarms and the receiver come packed in a plastic carrying case, lined inside with foam, to effectively protect against mechanical shocks, accidental bumps, and moisture. The receiver and alarms have an effective range of 200 meters and are waterproof (the casing is rain-resistant).
