The 13 Fishing Origin TX is a low-profile baitcasting reel designed for predator fishing in both freshwater and saltwater. Its construction combines corrosion resistance with a lightweight design, providing reliability and easy handling in a variety of fishing conditions. The body and side plates are made from corrosion-resistant graphite composite, supporting the gearing while helping to reduce the reel’s overall weight.

The internal mechanism features Japanese Hamai Cut Gearing, precision-machined for efficient power transmission and smooth operation. The 6 corrosion-resistant High Spin bearings, together with the anti-reverse bearing, contribute to smooth retrieves and a stable mechanism. The 7.3:1 gear ratio retrieves approximately 78cm of line with each full turn of the handle, making it suitable for techniques that call for fast retrieves and constant lure control.

The 6-Way Centrifugal Braking System uses six pins to control spool speed during casting. It lets you adjust the reel’s performance to suit lure weight and fishing conditions, helping to reduce the risk of line tangles. The Arrowhead Line Guide helps line pass smoothly and limits friction during casting, allowing it to come off the spool evenly.

For controlling fish during the fight, the reel features the Bulldog Drag system, which uses discs made from different materials and delivers a maximum drag of 8kg. The handle’s ergonomically shaped, soft-touch knobs provide a comfortable grip, even in wet conditions. The integrated KeepR Hook Keeper secures a hook or treble hook when the reel is not in use, while compatibility with 13 Fishing TrickShop accessories lets you customise the reel.
